Pinepay Limited was founded by Iris and formally incorporated in Kampala, Uganda, establishing a vision centered on clarity, structure, and trusted partnerships in the payments space.
2022
Independent Practice & Ecosystem Expertise
Iris began operating independently, building experience through hands-on work and commission-based engagements within the payments’ ecosystem. This phase laid the foundation for Pinepay’s approach to solving real payment challenges with precision and reliability. In the third quarter, Shamir joined the journey.
2023
Strategic Partnerships & Team Expansion
We deepened our relationships with banks, PSPs, and merchants, while intentionally bringing in Associates to support execution, operations, and early-stage growth. Denesha, Bertille, and Tresor joined the team during this phase.
2024
Onboarding, Compliance, Scale; New Associates Onboarded
We refined our operations by introducing more defined systems for onboarding, compliance, and scaling. This period also marked the growth of our Associate network across key functional areas. Grace, Stephy, Sheilla, Michelle, Ibrahim, Olga, and Abigail joined the Pinepay family. Special honor to Sherry, whose presence and contribution remain part of our journey.
